The app registers with the phone system you point it at, and talks to nobody else. We run no server that your calls pass through, and you need no account with us. What stays on the device ------------------------ Everything the app knows about you sits on the device: - the credentials of your lines. The password lives in the device keychain, not in a file belonging to the app - call history and messages - the names and numbers you create in the app None of it is sent to us. It leaves the device only for where it belongs: your phone system. What leaves the device ---------------------- - **To your phone system:** registration, calls, messages and the audio connection. What is stored there is decided by that system, not by Nuxfon. - **To Apple or Google:** if you want the phone to ring while the app is closed, the app obtains a token from the vendor's push service and passes it to the wake-up service of your phone system. The token says “this device”, nothing else. The wake-up call itself contains the caller's number or extension and, for a message, its text, so the phone can show who is calling. Whoever runs the wake-up service also runs your phone system. The token goes to the wake-up service of the phone system you set up yourself, not to us. - **To the device address book:** read only, only if you allow it, and only to show a name for a number. Contacts are not copied and not transmitted. Permissions ----------- - **Microphone:** for calls. Without it there is no telephony. - **Camera:** for video calls only, and only when you start one. - **Notifications:** so that a call and a message arrive while the app is closed. - **Contacts:** see above, optional. Analytics --------- There is none. No analytics tool, no crash reports to us, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across other apps or websites. Deletion -------- Removing a line deletes its credentials. Deleting the app removes everything it has stored. Whatever your phone system keeps is deleted by whoever runs it.
