Before you write
----------------

 Most cases are one of three.

### The line does not register.

 Check the extension, the password and the address of the phone system. If the line is set to a transport the system does not offer (TLS on a system that only speaks UDP, for instance), the setup finds the right one by itself once you let it run through.

### The call connects, but there is silence.

 Almost always the extension is set up as a WebRTC extension while the line sends plain audio. Such extensions accept unencrypted audio and cannot send anything back themselves. In the phone system either turn off encryption for that extension, or switch the line in Nuxfon to WebRTC.

### The phone only rings while the app is open.

 For that the phone system needs a small wake-up service that nudges Nuxfon whenever it should ring. Without it, Nuxfon is a phone that runs as long as it is open.

- which phone system (FreePBX, Asterisk, FRITZ!Box, provider)
- which transport (UDP, TCP, TLS, WebSocket)
- what you expected and what happened instead
- device and app version, both are at the very bottom of the settings

What we cannot do

 We cannot look inside your phone system. Nuxfon is the phone; whoever runs the system decides about extensions, permissions and what gets recorded.
